Who runs this site

ReceiptNotice is built and maintained by Paulo Henrique, who transcribes each issue, wrote the arithmetic behind every movement figure on the site, and writes the guides. Paulo Henrique is a software engineer. He is not a lawyer and holds no professional immigration credential.

No legal review

No immigration lawyer reviews the material on this site, and no page here should be read in place of one. What this site does is publish a public document accurately, and arithmetic on its own dataset, and stop there. Where a question turns on somebody’s particular facts, it is a question for a lawyer and not for a table.

How a month gets published

1. The new issue is transcribed from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs page for that month, cell by cell, and the URL it came from is stored alongside it.
2. A schema check rejects any cell whose state and date disagree, any missing category or country, and any issue without a source URL.
3. A movement check flags every backward step for a second look against the source, because a genuine retrogression and a transcription slip look identical in a table.
4. A freshness check fails the build once the newest issue passes 75 days old, so a site that has quietly stopped being maintained stops building rather than going stale in public.
5. The analysis on every issue and category page is generated from the stored figures rather than written by hand, so a page cannot claim a category advanced when the dataset says it did not.

Corrections

Where anything here disagrees with the issue it links to, the issue is right and this site is wrong. Corrections to published figures are made against the source and listed here with their date. Write to corrections@receiptnotice.com.

No correction to a published figure has been needed yet. The list is kept whether or not it is empty, because a correction history that only appears after the first mistake is worth nothing.
